RESPONDING TO COVID-19

SARS COVID-19 Virus Sketch

Though restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic may have eased somewhat, I am no less committed to ensuring safety in my space and on my table for both my clients and myself. As a practitioner in the healing arts, I am committed to doing no harm and to protecting my clients and my community from harm accordingly. Thankfully, it's easy to maintain high sanitary standards on my person, in my space and on my table.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MANY WAYS A SAFE, SANITARY ENVIRONMENT IS ASSURED FOR *ALL* OF THE CLIENTS WHO VISIT MY SPACE:

  • I've received my first and second dose of the Moderna vaccine and will pursue any associated booster shot when it becomes available.

  • I don't work when I or others in my circle are experiencing any signs of illness.

  • I come to work clean in freshly washed clothing; I change clothes between clients.

  • All relevant surfaces--handles on faucets and doors, counters, massage table and face cradle, and client-facing furniture--are sanitized with an appropriate alcohol-based cleanser prior to every client's arrival.

  • I wash my hands before and after each session.

  • I've allotted additional time between sessions to facilitate extra time for cleaning and clearing before and after each session.

  • All massage tools (stones, Kansa wands, crystals, tuning forks, etc.) are cleaned with appropriate cleansers before and after each use.

  • All table and face cradle linens are completely reset with clean, fresh-washed linens prior to every session.

  • I check in with clients 24 hours prior to their appointment to confirm their appointment, check-in about COVID-relevant symptoms, and offer guilt- and consequence-free rescheduling for individuals experiencing any contraindicated symptoms.

  • My practice is located in a low-traffic environment; client exposure is limited due to the limited number of daily sessions.

  • The space is deep-cleaned once a week.

  • I will happily wear a mask for at-risk clients - just ask!
