Sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.)
What it is: A hardy, deciduous, flowering shrub native to cold-temperate climates in Europe & Asia.
Parts used: Fruit and/or Seed
Medium: Cold-pressed oil (seed, berry, or both), CO2 extract
Why you want it: Sea-buckthorn is loaded with vitamins (C! E! K!), crazy-rich in antioxidants (mostly carotenoids) including beta-carotene and lycopene, and full of beneficial fatty acids.
Sea-buckthorn's bright orange/red colors align it with nourishment, passion, joy, playfulness, expression, and encouragement.
As a thorned shrub, it is considered deeply protective.
We like to think Sea-buckthorn's ability to thrive and produce fruit/seed in relatively barren, harsh, and dry climates means it brings a unique support for weathered, dry, or lived-in skin.
RADIANT BRIGHT RICH RESTORATIVE GLOWING BALANCING
Sea-buckthorn cold-pressed oil is non-comedogenic. Though it adds its bright orange color to the products where it features, when promptly applied and massaged into the skin, no staining should occur.
