Infused Herbal Oil Workshop

Eager to experience the thrill and satisfaction of making a medicinal blend with your own hands? Anxious to understand as much as possible, as quickly as possible about herbal infusions from local plants so you can begin making your own—amazing—infused oils for beauty, health, and wholeness?

This hands-on workshop immerses you in the art and science of crafting infused herbal oils. You’ll benefit from my 30+ years of experience formulating with aromatics, herbs, and oils as we explore key medicinal plants and how best to infuse and engage them for healing and thriving.

You’ll learn:

• The science behind the best practices for oil extraction of featured plants
• Three methods for crafting botanical/herbal infusions
• When/why to work with fresh vs. dried material
• Key carrier oils and their profiles and benefits to various skin types
• How to protect and preserve your infused oils for longevity
• Calculating herb-to-oil ratios for featured plants

You’ll be provided with handouts and all materials required—and you’ll leave with your own hand-crafted oil to start your herbal skincare journey. 

This in-person workshop takes place in the studio barn at our home/farm in Sagle, Idaho. Please note that there are stairs leading up to one of the classroom spaces and restroom facilities are limited to a port-a-potty.
