Herbal Salves & Balms Workshop

Eager to experience the thrill and satisfaction of making your own medicinal salves? Anxious to understand as much as possible, as quickly as possible about balms, oils, and waxes so you can begin making your own—amazing—blends for beauty, health, and wholeness?

This hands-on workshop immerses you in the art and science of crafting herbal balms and salves. You’ll benefit from my 30+ years of experience formulating with aromatics, herbs, and oils as we explore key ingredients and how best to incorporate and engage them for healing and thriving.

You’ll learn:

• Properties of and indications for key carrier oils, base butters, and waxes
• Ratios for oils/butters to waxes for different applications
• Three base recipes for unique formulas (lip balm/simple salve, body butter, and solid stick) on which to build
• How to protect and preserve your blends for longevity

You’ll be provided with handouts and all materials required—and you’ll leave with your own hand-crafted salve to start your herbal skincare journey. 

This in-person workshop takes place in the studio barn at our home/farm in Sagle, Idaho. Please note that there are stairs leading up to one of the classroom spaces and restroom facilities are limited to a port-a-potty.

All workshop fees are non-refundable.
